Sponsored by TNT Bikes, a sweet, rad, Diamond Back Apex…. the year I don’t know, best guess early 90′s?… to be honest I don’t know much about bikes but was incredibly lucky to have met the owner at TNT and had him take care of me. We explained him about our project and how the next stage would be crossing the Baja peninsula. Didn’t need to say anything else, he was completely on top of everything.
The main thing was getting a bike that would endure anything, tough, simple and which spare parts would be easy to find in the middle of nowhere. Few weeks later it was ready. We had to make some adjustments like changing the handlebar, but it has been pretty awesome since the beginning. It took me a while to get used to the new shifters, at the end of the handlebars but after a few miles it was all good.
The panniers and bags were donated by Ortlieb, super cool! Waterproof, with 30 years guarantee, amazing capacity, tough and easy to use. Come on and off so easily… I love them!
The bike has no name… yet. Any suggestions?
