About Chris

I look around the world and am unhappy with what I see happening.  I look in the mirror and understand why it is happening.  Now I ride a bicycle and spend my days learning…

On the road of life you get flat tires, fix them and move on…

T I M E L I N Eof sorts:

I was born on October 6, 1975 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and blessed to have been adopted by wonderful parents. Since that time, I have successfully fit quite a few lifetimes into my brief span on this planet. My world travels began with the US Navy on an aircraft carrier stationed out of Japan, and continued as a University student, health club manager, night club promoter, real estate millionaire for a short while , chef, and as a lifeguard in Australia. While I accumulated many successes in these years, I found himself with two marriages that ended up far from the intimate connections I wished them to be, 100 lbs overweight, extremely unhealthy, living the unfulfilled life of an alcoholic with an on and off drug problem.

My arrival in Hawaii set me on an entirely different trajectory of living life. While in Hawaii I became a vegan, acquired a deep love of farming, and a profound respect for the planet. I learned to live in harmony with the A’ina (earth) and the Kai (ocean). I studied Chinese medicine, Kung Fu, yoga, meditation, swimming, and had a few near death experiences, though in retrospect, I would call them near “Life Experiences” as I cannot recall ever really feeling that I would die, more so — I was being pushed to live more fully. I remembered how to walk barefoot over great distances and terrains, becoming more fully present and in tune with myself, and everything around me. Learning to see life from an entirely different perspective brought about one of the greatest changes for me; a feeling of self confidence in simply being ME…. “That’s the beginning of everything.” I believe. This is the core of what I have to share.

One day, when going through my things during a move, I found a pamphlet on the “Peace Pilgrim” in the bottom of the closet. This is when I came to realize what would suit me as a lifestyle and calling.

I am now riding across the world for Peace and Environmental awareness, to help make the world a wee bit safer for children.  I dont want to die having not helped in someway…

Kindness to children, love for children, goodness to children — these are the only investments that never fail.—Henry David Thoreau
